In MYTILINEOS Group, we guarantee
to all our employees, without excep-
tion, the right to assemble and asso-
ciate and to collective negotiations. In
this context, all our subsidiaries recog-
nise the trade union rights of em-
ployees, i.e. their right to establish
Unions, to participate in them and to
enter into collective negotiations. The
purpose of the employee unions in the
Group Companies is to safeguard the
interests (financial, work-related and in-
surance-related) of employees and to
guarantee the continuation of their ac-
quired rights and their improvement in
terms of quality and quantity. During
2012, no reports were made of inci-
dents involving a violation of the free
“trade union right” of employees by
the Human Resources Divisions of our
companies, which are responsible for
handling such incidents and for taking
appropriate action in collaboration
with the Employee Unions, where
these exist.

METKA S.A. fully respects the right
of its employees to participate in
trade unions or other representative
bodies. There is one official em-
ployee Union in operation at the
company, as well as a company-level
agreement currently in force, which
was the product of collective nego-
tiations between the Union and the
company, are more favourable for
employees than the corresponding
provisions under the labour legisla-
tion in force.
