METLEN, as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the local community of Phocis, has donated a fully operational vehicle from its fleet to the Phocis Police Directorate through its subsidiary European Bauxites. The donation aims to enhance the Directorate’s operational capabilities and support the daily work of the Hellenic Police officers serving the region.
With this latest donation to the Phocis Police Directorate, METLEN reaffirms its longstanding presence alongside local communities, providing tangible support to institutions that address everyday needs and serve the public interest.
It is worth noting that METLEN has maintained strong and enduring ties with Phocis and the surrounding areas, consistently implementing initiatives that strengthen essential infrastructure and support key public institutions. Indicatively, in 2023, through its Aluminium of Greece plant, the Company donated equipment to the Livadeia Fire Service and the 7th Special Disaster Response Unit (EMAK). During the COVID-19 pandemic, it also supported the healthcare system in Central Greece by providing medical equipment and testing supplies, including donations to the hospitals of Livadeia and Amfissa.
At the same time, over recent years, infrastructure projects have been carried out across Phocis and Boeotia, including upgrades to school facilities and courtyards, improvements to the local road network, and community-focused initiatives such as the redevelopment of public spaces and sports facilities. METLEN has also actively supported social and cultural initiatives, local associations, and community organisations throughout the region.
These initiatives form part of METLEN’s continuous presence in local communities, with the aim of supporting residents’ everyday needs and working closely with local stakeholders on projects that deliver meaningful and lasting value.
