METLEN invests in the next generation of engineers through “Engineering The World 2026”

METLEN is dynamically entering the dialogue with the new generation of scientists, putting its strength behind the innovation conference “Engineering The World 2026 – Powered by METLEN,” organized by the ODYCEO team of the National Technical University of Athens.

Starting on April 28 at the NTUA Events Hall and continuing on April 29–30 at the Technopolis City of Athens, “Engineering The World 2026 – Powered by METLEN” aims to become the ultimate meeting hub for both domestic and global innovation.

The conference will focus on one of the most critical challenges of the Artificial Intelligence era: data scarcity, highlighting the role of innovation in developing solutions even in resource-constrained environments.

The three-day program includes:

  • International Tech Hackathon: Students, tech enthusiasts, and curious minds will join forces to solve real-world problems, competing for a €5,000 prize to further develop their idea.
  • World-Class Speakers & Panels: Inspiring discussions by industry pioneers on trends shaping the future (such as Industrial AI, Smart Grids, Biotech).
  • Innovation Showcase (Booths): An interactive space where participants will connect with motivated students, leading companies, and deep-tech startups, discovering career and networking opportunities.

METLEN actively supports initiatives that bring education closer to the national economy and create meaningful opportunities for young people to engage with industry. Through initiatives like “Engineering The World,” METLEN aims to highlight the role of industry as a pillar of innovation and an attractive career path for the next generation.

The event is organized by ODYCEO, the Entrepreneurship and Innovation team of the National Technical University of Athens, which focuses on strengthening the connection between students and the job market while fostering entrepreneurial skills.
