METLEN presents its new climate targets as part of a realistic and gradual transition pathway, fully aligned with its long-term business strategy. The new targets for reducing Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 reflect the Group’s current operational and production footprint and are supported by specific initiatives across all Business Sectors. At the same time, METLEN is shaping its long-term greenhouse gas emissions reduction strategy towards its 2050 ambition, supported by a series of five-year interim targets, while considering the technological maturity of available solutions, market developments and the need to maintain its competitiveness. The implementation of the related actions has already commenced, while the key initiatives will be progressively integrated into the Group’s operational, investment and financial planning.
