HELLENiQ ENERGY announced the delivery and the commencement of commercial operation of two photovoltaic parks in southern Romania, with a total capacity of 58 MW, under the Agreement signed in 2023 with METLEN for the construction and acquisition of four projects with a combined capacity of 211 MW.
This development marks the start of the Group’s operational presence in Romania’s renewable energy market and confirms the consistent implementation of its strategy to accelerate international growth in the green energy sector.
The delivery and commercial operation of the two remaining projects, with a combined capacity of 153 MW, are expected within 2026. In the second quarter of 2027, the construction of a 96 MW wind project in northeastern Romania is also expected to be completed, bringing HELLENiQ ENERGY’s total installed capacity in the country to over 300 MW.
