Metals Sector

METLEN Energy & Metals is a leader in the Metals industry and is established as a reference point for competitive "green" metallurgy at the European level. Operating the only vertically integrated bauxite, alumina and primary aluminium production unit in all of Europe with privately owned port facilities. The Metals Sector includes, among other activities, “European Bauxites” responsible for bauxite production, the Aluminium of Greece plant, and EPALME, the largest independent producer of recycled (secondary) aluminium in Greece.

Through the Metals Sector, the company has also expanded its activities into circular metallurgy, using proprietary, pilot-proven technologies to extract critical metals from industrial residues. At the same time, METLEN is advancing the development of a new gallium production unit, a critical material for Europe’s future, which will strengthen the European Union’s strategic autonomy in the field of critical raw materials.

By joining this Sector, you will gain first-hand experience in the integrated production of bauxite, alumina, and primary/secondary aluminium, while becoming part of the Sector’s new and emerging activities.
